Overall Satisfaction with Lifesize Video Conferencing

Lifesize is being used to connect our two training rooms for video conferencing as well as allow users to connect remotely from their laptop, smart phone, or tablet. It is being used across the entire organization. Not having to travel to our training centers saves precious time for members of our staff.
  • Makes it extremely easy for just about any user to start or join a meeting.
  • Allows us to record the sessions and make recordings available to staff.
  • Audio and video have always been clear.
  • Not sure it's really one of the easiest setups we've come across. It also very user-friendly.
Quality and ease of use are the main things. Also setting up and inviting non lifesize users is easy, having an app for mobile plus and app on Windows, along with a browser based app make it available to just about eveyrone at any time or any place as long as the have internet access.
It is well suited for allowing users to attend meetings remotely from their own device as well as connecting various video conferencing devices.

Evaluating Lifesize Video Conferencing and Competitors

Yes - Microsoft Lync and Google Hangouts. Lync was very cumbersome and expensive to maintain, quality was not as good as lifesize. Hangouts is free and easy to use but quality just isn't there. Lifesize is much easier to maintain in the cloud, easy to manage users, meetings, as well as cloud recordings.
I would probably spend less time with Lync and Hangouts and move to Lifesize. Lifesize rep was also much more helpful in the process of evaluating the equipment and software. Next time i probably won't evaluate the most expensive first then check for what's free. i would look into the mid range first.
