Overall Satisfaction with Litmus

We use Litmus in two ways:
1. To check how our emails render across different email clients and platforms/versions (Litmus Checklist).
2. To communicate with our client - showing proofs and marking up the proof with comments where they can respond back - as well as use Litmus to officially approve an email.
We use it across the company but my department/client uses it the most. I feel it is a great way for QA/QCing - especially desktop vs. mobile - as well as an easy way to communicate feedback with the client.
  • Litmus does a great job providing lots of different email client options (both desktop and mobile) to check with using the checklist for rendering.
  • I like the newest version of Litmus that combines everything in one spot - including proofs and checklists in the same area - just by going to dashboard or inbox.
  • I like how you can be very specific on an email proof in your placement of comment so whoever needs to see the comment can see exactly where you are referring to.
  • I would like to see the Litmus checklist do a better job of their "snapshots" of how an email renders on a platform. Sometimes it will show one way for a specific email client that we test personally on our own devices than what it shows in the Checklist screenshot, which can cause confusion whether there really is an issue with rendering or not.
  • I think the transition from old version to the newer version of Litmus could be a little more user-friendly - we had some trouble figuring out how to easily find out emails and get them into the new version.
  • I'm still using Litmus in a limited capacity so that's all I've got right now.
  • Time saved not needing to manually test emails on our own personal devices - most of the time (when checklist shows all the rendering properly for each email client).
  • Shorter email review cycles - using the proof feature for communicating and providing comments/feedback.
  • Providing feedback on spam scoring and deliverability.
No, not yet. But I do know that Litmus does integrate with Adobe Campaign. But we are in the process of migrating over to Adobe Campaign from our current Selligent ESP.
I haven't used those tools/features yet in Litmus but would like to in the future.
We do use this feature.
I will send an email proof and mark up comments/questions for our client on the proof.
The client will go in and respond back and then provide approval when ready.
This has been a great way to communicate and get quick answers and approvals when the client is busy.
I've only seen someone send over an example of EOA checklist to show rendering. I haven't actually used EOA myself personally. I have used Litmus and prefer to stick with Litmus.
Just for the email rendering across clients alone, Litmus is great and I would highly recommend using it.
I also like the proof option and sending feedback on there.
I don't really use the other tools that Litmus offers (I have my own software/ESP for building emails and templates) but may in the future.
I don't really use the spam checking/feedback, but I would like to and I think it's a great feature.
