Overall Satisfaction with Litmus

We use Litmus primarily to ensure our email campaigns look relatively consistent across all devices and email clients and for spam testing. Their toolkit is easy to use and helps us weed out potential coding and accessibility-related errors. Spam testing helps us identify elements that might trigger spam filters.

Pros

  • Spam Testing.
  • Well seasoned email template code.
  • Code Analysis and Troubleshooting.
  • Customer Service.

Cons

  • The Q&A analyses seem to be triggered unnecessarily when reviewing preview text. However, if the issue is legitimate, it gives less than helpful feedback on how to remedy that particular situation.
  • Intermittently, the Q&A will have trouble opening links with routes on the landing page. Specifically 'Twitter.'
  • Time Savings.
  • Improved Deliverability.
  • Enhanced Campaign Performance.
This question is not relevant to my use of Litmus.
We've not used Litmus' Proof feature yet.
I found that Litmus was able to give a more in-depth review and feedback on accessibility issues in my campaigns, whereas SendForensics lacked any helpful features for this purpose. Litmus' features have helped us better serve all our clients' customers.

Are you happy with Litmus from Validity's feature set?

Yes

Did Litmus from Validity live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Litmus from Validity go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Litmus from Validity again?

Yes

It's great for midsize organizations that need a leg up on getting their campaigns in the inbox. I can't give a valid scenario where Litmus would not help review/analyze emails to ensure they are top-notch before sending. The new email monitoring feature is an ace for autoresponder emails that are typically set and forgotten. The monitoring feature is perfect for avoiding emails with issues that arise a year or more later but would otherwise go unnoticed.
