Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

I started using Lucidchart a couple of years ago for school. Since then, I've brought it into the places I've worked also! I found it was the easiest process mapping platform out there. You don't need to read countless of user guides to understand the platform. It's all very intuitive and super clear for the users. The people I've showed it to understood very quickly how to use it without needing any crash course or anything.
We use Lucidchart to map our business processes. We just started mapping them out so right now it's only being used in one department (Sales Department). However, because it's so easy to use and understand, we plan on mapping the processes of all of our other departments in the upcoming weeks/months.
  • Ease of use.
  • Many different shapes.
  • Many different colours.
  • Hard to put in a legend - at least I haven't found an easy way and it can get frustrating. This is especially frustrating when I pass lots of time in doing a nice map with different colours representing different things and then I have to improvise something for the Legend.
  • Free version is very limited - it really just gives you a teaser of what the platform can offer.
  • Hard to add in lines that don't connect automatically to the shapes already on the map. Sometimes I would like to add in plain lines on my process maps and not have them connect to the shapes I already have on the map.
  • Better Visibility - We had no clear idea of what were our processes. By mapping them on Lucidchart it really gave us the visibility on our business that we were lacking.
  • Improved Productivity - By mapping out our processes on Lucidchart, we were able to pinpoint where we weren't efficient and hence we were able to improve our business' overall productivity.
  • Time Saving - By having visual representation of the processes that should be done, employees can go look directly at the process maps instead of bothering their colleagues.
We haven't integrated it yet. We weren't even aware of these possible integrations. I'll definitely look into how it can help us since we use lots of the platforms stated above as well.
So far I haven't had to deal with the Support Team, so I can't really say.

Yes

Would you buy Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite again?

Yes

The other tools I've used to map processes are draw.io and Microsoft Visio.

The biggest pain point I had with Visio was the fact that it wasn't cloud and there weren't any free version. Also, it wasn't compatible with Mac. Hence, Lucidchart answered all these pinpoints by offering a free version and being accessible directly on the cloud, making it compatible with Mac.

For draw.io, I find that Lucidchart is just a lot more easier to use and produces more aesthetic finishes.
I know Lucidchart can be used for a variety of things, but I have really only used the platform to map out our business process maps. I find it super simple to map out high-level and detailed process maps. For an organization that's very helpful since it helps the readers find their way around all the information found in the maps.

Before starting my job, my organization didn't use any process map platform. Since we started using Lucidchart, lots of the employees have also started using it to help them with their day to day tasks.
