Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

I work with many design tools and may have a bias that the patterns and conventions are more recognizable to me across platforms.
Lucidchart is a great tool to use as a UX designer, and there are plenty of templates for common methodologies and UX artifacts that save time not re-inventing the wheel and building from scratch in your own design program. There are good templates for various roles/uses in the tech industry and teams. Intuitive interface and tools that are quick to learn. Lucidchart has helpful space to combine multiple charts/diagrams without switching between programs/browser bookmarks. My work is easily shared with the entire team, and can be collaborated on in real-time.

Pros

  • Templates
  • Interface tool UI

Cons

  • The color palette templates for flow charts don't have enough contrast/range to help convey the content in my opinion. I have to manually change colors for now or create custom defaults or styles.
  • It would be nice to name and have several artboards on the main page without tabbing through bottom sheets.
  • It can be difficult to select the wrong anchor point when working quickly with shapes and flows. I am constantly creating arrows off of shapes when not meaning to.
  • It saves time not designing my own charts/templates.
  • It saves time not looking for multiple resources when working on a project as it can hold many.
  • It gives the opportunity to provide more consistent visuals and share with a team.
I have not explored using the integrations.
Not relevant because I have not had to reach out for support or technical assistance in any capacity.

Do you think Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite's feature set?

Yes

Did Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite again?

Yes

I actually use both as both are provided through my job. A bit more thorough detail on the templates and seemingly more options to choose from. Toolbar and interactive elements in the tool are much more obvious in Lucidchart than in Miro, this has been a huge factor in using Miro less and Lucidchart more.
Lucidchart is excellent for flowcharts and diagrams. It is also good for brainstorming in a virtual space with tools that resemble analog. I haven't used many of the other templates that are more data-heavy/developer-forward. ... I'm working through a user flow, customer journey.
