Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart
We use Lucidchart to map out future software product wireframes. We create them in Lucidchart and then share them with other stakeholders as a PDF. Some of these stakeholders are external to the business so it is very useful to be able to share the documents with them and both edit in real-time.
- Forever expanding desktop so you can go as big as you like
- Sharing in real-time
- Search for icons and pictures to add into the charts
- Arrows to show the flow of a flowchart which move around when you are designing
- When you highlight a number of items to move that are overlapping etc, it's hard to then pick up the selected items to move them to their new location - you need to keep moving the mouse around until you get the crosshairs and on complex charts, that's not easy.
- CTRL+D should be for duplicate... its annoying that CTRL+C is copy but duplicate doesn't follow the same convention.
- Can't get rid of the left-hand side menu off the screen and it takes up useful real estate on the screen.
- Allowed me as a product manager to sketch out my ideas which has allowed me to really fill them out with more detail as I go.
- It feels like a sketch pad - so less permanent, meaning that I feel more creative and less restricted so I can come up with new ideas.
- Stops us from having to meet developers in person and allows for remote brainstorming - reducing cost, CV19 exposure, more environmentally friendly, and less travel time.
I didn't know about this integration and haven't used it. I have only just used the application on the website and shared the document link. I'll take a look at how it can integrate with Microsoft as that is the platform that we use. I am hopeful that it works in teams
Do you think Lucidchart delivers good value for the price?
Not sure
Are you happy with Lucidchart's feature set?
Yes
Did Lucidchart live up to sales and marketing promises?
I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process
Did implementation of Lucidchart go as expected?
Yes
Would you buy Lucidchart again?
Yes
Lucidchart is much easier to use the PowerPoint for the work that I was doing. The forever expanding desktop is such a bonus as I can concentrate on getting my ideas down on paper, rather than thinking about how to use the technology. Lucidchart is much less fiddly. Thanks.
