Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

The variety of templates to choose from provide an easy jumping off point.
My department uses Lucidchart daily to create data flow diagrams, organize system usage information across different departments, project management and lots more! We've find it very helpful to visualize information previously stored on worksheets, especially where there are multiple rows with the same data. For example, several departments all utilizing the same software can be represented in one big block, which is easier on the eyes and helps to demonstrate the larger proportion of that utilization. In my previous roles, I used Visio and was a believer -- until I tried Lucidchart. Lucidchart is more versatile and creates projects that are more modern in design style. I would never go back now.

Yes

Did Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite again?

Yes

Visio is much more limited in functional scope and produces much less attractive charts than Lucidchart. I would consider Visio to be a very basic application compared to the functionality provided in Lucidchart.
In situations where you're trying to represent information in a custom, easy-to-understand chart, Lucidchart performs very well. It's great to be able to customize each piece, including colors and shapes. It provides a high number of chart examples that you can pick up and run with. However, if you're looking for something fast such as what can be provided out of excel, or something that suggests charts based on data, Lucidchart does not yet provide that functionality.
