Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

The core concepts and tools are great but it can take some time to get used to connecting the various objects you have on the document. The line graphics are particularly hard to get a hang of.
The product, Lucidchart, is used by many departments of our company. It is a very effective tool when trying to whiteboard complex concepts. Simplifying complex technical workflows is challenging in itself but the tools you are provided by this product makes it easier to visualize. It also lets your creativity really take control as well, resulting in a visual you are proud of.

Pros

  • Copy and pasting sections
  • Sharing files

Cons

  • I wish there were more templates.
  • Sometimes the sharing feature is buggy.
  • Improves creative output
  • Facilitates learning and development via visuals
  • Clients love it
We only use the app for itself and have not tried integrating it with other 3rd party apps.

The best scenarios seem to be around diagramming a technical concept or workflows, information flow, data flows, etc. It is less suited for anything that involves long text descriptions.
