Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart
Lucidchart has directly replaced MS Visio in our organization and from the first few moments, it's more intuitive to use and has great integration capabilities. It's used to draw processes, flows, and technical diagrams.
Pros
- Arrows connecting much more intelligent than visio (finally!)
- Object and font sizes are implicitly well set
- Many pre-set diagrams to quickly start with and get inspired from
Cons
- Not sure it's possible to easily add shadows - definitely not from a colour options menu.
- Why am I asked what my role is every time I start Lucidchart when I've filled it already a few times in?
- I haven't seen any data pre-set charts/diagrams.
- Our productivity definitely improved as I can create diagrams faster now.
- Sharing with colleagues and collaboration is much easier.
- Others like my diagrams which is beneficial for both sides.
We are still in a discovery process of all ways we can integrate Lucidchart with all the tools it can, but the DB data integration is very exciting and that's the one I'd like to test asap.
Do you think Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite delivers good value for the price?
Yes
Are you happy with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite's feature set?
Yes
Did Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite live up to sales and marketing promises?
I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process
Did implementation of Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite go as expected?
I wasn't involved with the implementation phase
Would you buy Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite again?
Yes
MS Visio is a big tool that hasn't been innovated much in the past years and the fact it is installed on my computer in 2021 does seem a bit over-board. There is a big potential for tools like Lucidchart and mainly for its portability, no need to request and wait to have it installed, just plug & play from the browser.
