Overall Satisfaction with Lucidspark

We're using Lucidspark to generate system designs and evaluate architectural decisions. Lucidspark prevents us from getting bogged down with design discussions and stay agile. We like being able to save some of the whiteboard sessions in Lucidcharts afterward. It's easy to see who's typing what, and having meeting tools on the screen seems small but is really useful to stay on track during meetings.
  • Filter notes based on tags.
  • Visualize each user's activity with no visible lag, great colour-coding.
  • Intuitive UX: Lots of hotkeys and shortcuts you learn through regular use.
  • Could do with more templates.
  • Quicker or more visible text editing (i.e. adding bullet PTS, italics, etc.).
  • A higher proportion of effective grooming and estimation sessions as reported by our teams.
  • Higher percentage of backlog is estimated, the process has become quicker and more uniform.
Overall, very easy to get started and figure out how to use. Requires very little effort to set up prior to a meeting and doesn't need much attention during the meeting. It's worth playing around with tags and telling your team how you'd like to see them used, as it's time-consuming to adjust later on or add them in if you didn't use them at all.
We have yet to really make use of the integrations, other than for Lucidchart, which we've only used a handful of times. I can say that the Lucidchart integration works as expected and it's really nice to transition from a whiteboard session to mockups using the same document.
Whiteboarding is pretty flawless, it has less lag than other tools we've used and makes good use of colour to differentiate colleagues. We've been using this tool more and more as we adapt to fully remote work during the pandemic, Lucidspark has done a better job than we expected of replacing our physical whiteboards in the office.
I have yet to contact Support for an issue, but I can say that the Getting Started docs are very useful, and I link these to anyone using the tool for the first time.

Do you think Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite's feature set?

Yes

Did Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite again?

Yes

I think Lucidspark performs best in conjunction with Lucidcharts. There are other whiteboarding apps that have just as good, if not better feature sets. However, none of these allow for the quick transition to a working document that we regularly use with Lucid. Additionally, Lucidspark had the best filtering/sorting tools and the easiest meeting tools (timers, votes, etc) in my opinion.
Lucidspark is great for rapid collaborative exercises and for running efficient meetings. I wouldn't suggest it to replace any real design tools but for whiteboarding of any sort, it's pretty great.
