Overall Satisfaction with Lucidspark

My team uses Lucidspark for illustrating program design ideas, flows, architecture of our software services.
It is being used among several tech teams but not all.
It helps us understanding the software design planning that we are doing, and share these ideas and existing flows with other team members or stakeholders.
  • Having the option to use as much real estate as we want when creating a diagram (as opposed to PowerPoint/Slides).
  • Pretty slick design (UI).
  • I find it difficult to use the cursor and to understand how I can grab and drag a few items together, how to expand, etc.
  • Too many shapes that you can chose from, it's good to have just a proper shape for a database, a bucket, and a couple of more shape which differ from one another. But I don't think that much more than that is needed, for my use simplicity is the best, and I find myself scrolling through all the options for too much time instead of focusing on the design which I want to create.
  • Positive: being able to showcase our architecture in a visualized way with other teams.
  • Negative: time consuming, as some people took some time to figure out how to use a few of the features, and some were spending quite some time on finding the right shape.
Most features are pretty intuitive and resemble other similar products which most people are already used to. But it also has some complexity which I have not overcome and switch to something more simple which answered my needs.
We are aware of this, but do not believe that we made any of these integrations. Also, our Security IT is not very happy with adding 3rd party integrations to our Drive.
It was nice that it allowed our complex ideas to be visually shared with others.
I do not know, I did not use their support.

Do you think Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite's feature set?

No

Did Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite again?

No

Depends on one's use of course, but for me simplicity is better and there are free similar products out there, which also allow sharing the charts, that do a pretty good job as well.
