Overall Satisfaction with Lucidspark
I teach the Capstone 1 and Capstone 2 courses in the Computer Engineering Technology program at CCSU. The initial part of Capstone 1 is ideation: coming up with ideas for products that the students are interested in and want to build. We use Lucidspark to do KJ analysis of the ideas that the students come up with to define what areas everyone is interested in. This helps define the projects and helps everyone figure out what they really want to do.
- Capturing textual statements
- Organizing statements in different ways
- Allowing the team to work together at the same time
- Being able to export the final product in a visually pleasing way
- Some of the functionality I asked about was actually implemented. It was just hard to find.
- The students are easily able to come up to speed with how to use it
- It makes it easy for me to capture the outcome
As I said, I don't use Lucidspark on a daily basis, but I do find it very useful for some parts of the Capstone process when team members need to interact over ideas/work products.
Excellent! For the last two years, I've been teaching mostly remotely, and Lucidspark slotted right into that environment.
