Overall Satisfaction with Lucidspark

As a remote employee that works with cross functional team members who are also remote, it is difficult to work in collaborative environment such as a in person in front of a whiteboard. Lucidspark solves this difficulty by providing a real time experience of working together with team members but also further enhances this experience with other digital tools such as pulling images/shapes from the web or creating links to other pieces of artifacts that exist online such as ticketing or project management systems.
  • Lucidspark provides a very flexible diagramming tool that helps teams focus more on the content than worrying about the tool
  • Lucidspark provides real time experience which helps teams collaborate and resolve any misunderstandings and gaps of knowledge.
  • Lucidspark would even better when it import data from well used corporate applications such as Atlassian products or microsoft products. For example, when entering a JIRA ticket number, it can display some details about the ticket within Lucidspark.
  • I would say Lucidspark is able to save about 50% of our team's time on trying to remember certain details of a discussion just by having the lucidspark diagram available to help us recall what has been discussed and decided upon.
If a user knows Lucidchart, Lucidspark will be very easy to pick this up. If no Lucidchart experience, then just playing around with Lucidspark will give you a good baseline knowledge of how to use it. Perhaps adding some templating will help a user understand how to get started right away which I believe Lucidchart has but not sure if Lucidspark has it.
I have not personally used any Slack of Google Drive integration. I do use the ability to covert a Lucidspark diagram to Lucidchart and I enjoy being able to use the administrative functions of Lucidchart such as organizing files into folders and being able to define access control to files.
I would say Lucidspark has helped our teams be able to align on different complex workflows and understand the areas where we need to focus our time for discussion and decision-making. It is a very flexible and easy-to-pick-up tool so having a new team member join does not require a lot of onboarding investment.

Lucidspark is well suited for teams who want to be aligned in understanding. Lucidspark even works well as an ideation or brainstorming tool an individual can use in isolation. Lucidspark would not work so well if it is needs to be an authoritative source of information but luckily there is a way to convert Lucidspark to Lucidchart.
