- The WYSIWYG editor is very easy to use. For those with little to no html coding experience, you can set up professional emails and templates fairly fast.
- White listing - Because our lists had not been marketed to in some time, there was a higher bounce rate than we had initially expected. Mailchimp then flagged our account as a potential SPAM account, shutting down a campaign entirely. When I tried to explain that this initial mailing would have a higher bounce rate because of the lists' age, the customer service team was unbending in shutting down our account. I moved my team onto to Manticore shortly thereafter.

VerticalResponse was the other option evaluated. I chose Mailchimp because another division of our company was using it. Also, it was very easy to set up and launch campaigns, so for our initial test with using HTML campaigns, it was quick to set up.
