Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp
We use MailChimp in our marketing department to organize lists and send out campaigns - newsletters and blogs. Everyone in all departments also receives the campaign.
- Multiple lists - can be organized.
- Templates for campaigns - easy drag drop options.
- From a legal perspective - makes sure that the contacts have opted in.
- After a campaign has been published, it would be nice to use it as a draft again. The location is moved to a published section. I have to make a copy of it to reuse it. It seems like it has a lot of steps.
- It takes some time for a contact to be added. This is a little annoying, especially if I add a contact and want to send a campaign out right away.
- Definitely more traffic to our webiste
- More awareness of everything our company can do
- Overall organization
MailChimp is nice because it has everything in one place - different lists, campaigns, stats. We selected this software based on recommendation from our web coders. Vertical Response is a good program too, but I prefer the user interface of MailChimp more. MailChimp is also very affordable. Both platforms are free at first, up to a certain amount of campaigns/month.
We have absolutely benefited from this. All your campaigns are in one place and you can scroll down to see everything you've posted. You can also review complied data reports which makes analysis and suggestions for improvements easy!
We have generated more opt ins and views to our site via hot buttons. We've been able to tailor the content of our campaigns to be more relevant to what our subscribers are interested in seeing, while inserting new content at the same time and growing our audience.

It was recommended from a trusted source at a conference.
I think I made the right decision. It helped because I was already familiar with campaign platforms.

- Implemented in-house
Change management was a minor issue with the implementation - We were using another platform prior, with similar features. But we like Mailchimp more.
- nothing really, but there is a small learning curve learning the userface
