Overall Satisfaction with ManageEngine Endpoint Central
ManageEngine Endpoint Central (formerly Desktop Central) has been implemented in our environment to help us manage our devices as an alternative to other solutions like SCCM or Intune. It is intended to allow us to remotely support all of our Windows 10, and now Windows 11, devices in the environment. It is intended to allow us to manage software deployments, keep software up to date, approve patches, and assist users who are down and not able to get access to their devices.
- Managing inventory
- Connecting remotely to users
- Technical Support
- Crisis/Outage Support
- Customer Subscription Management
- Inventory Management
- Endpoint Central sprint release notifications and support
- Connecting to machines in the environment
- Pushing application updates
- Managing Windows patch approvals
- No effect
- BeyondTrust Remote Support, LogMeIn Pro, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Microsoft Intune + SCCM), Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager, Splashtop and ConnectWise Assist
ManageEngine Endpoint Central is definitely more affordable than most any of the other solutions out there. The software suite continues to compete with the other vendors in regard to functionality, usability, reliability, and even security. The system is flexible and simple to use once you overcome the steep learning curve. The affordability is offset by the product support, or lack thereof, but its reliability sets it out in front of Microsoft's current solutions.
