Overall Satisfaction with Marin Software

Marin Software was being used across the whole organization for tracking and reporting in one place. It allowed account managers to be more efficient in management of paid search and allowed our client facing business strategists to find the information they need. This product filled the gap between the doers and the talkers.
  • Quick, detailed, reoccurring reporting saved our strategists tons of time every week.
  • It provided more more detailed reporting capabilities allowing more in depth analysis and insights.
  • Allowing us to manage various platforms in one interface improved our performance and efficiency significantly.
  • More customization to the reporting output such as allowing multiple logos and changing headers of reports
  • More simplified bid rules - it gets very complicated and intimidating
  • Increased employee efficiency by managing all search platforms in one place
  • Increased efficiency due to automated reporting
  • Increased knowledge and client experience due to the ease of reporting on the client facing side
  • It was extremely time consuming on boarding our clients from our existing proprietary reporting interface onto Marin
Marin has a much better, polished reporting output that is Client ready. The entire interface is also more user friendly and easier to look at, navigate and understand. The scheduled alerts and reporting make management a breeze in comparison. Marin however loses to Kenshoo when it comes into automated bidding implementation. Marin's bid automation is very confusing and frustrating to implement.
The client's managed by my former agency do not spend enough adverting dollars to justify the use and cost of the platform. Even with all of the efficiencies from a management, optimization and reporting standpoint, it still was not helping the agency profit in the end, although the value from a winning new business perspective was not evaluated.
Ensure your agencies management fees are high enough to cover the cost of the software. Ensure your team is utilizing the Marin on boarding team to the fullest. You will likely need a person just to manage the software for your team, make sure you can afford to have one person dedicated to managing the software.
