Overall Satisfaction with Marin Software

I use Marin Software to manage and automate bidding for search marketing keywords and queries on Google and Bing. This is generally how I’ve always used it in the past and in other agencies. Marin software has always approached bidding with an easy-to-use interface, and smart algorithms dictate the process.
  • Clean user interface
  • Great support and sales
  • Algorithms suit more typical accounts
  • Not as customizable as other platforms
  • Show the secret sauce in the bidding
  • Does not easily integrate with other marketing platforms
  • It’s expensive, and clients are less likely to sign on if they incur the cost
  • Some clients that want it spend a ton, so you will get larger clients
Kenshoo Search is definitely the most customizable auto bid tech for lease and sale, however Marin Software blows them out of the park when it comes to ease of use, customer support, and reports. If you have a fair number of cookie-cutter accounts with limited special issues, I’d choose Marin Software over Kenshoo Search.

Customer support for Marin Software is really great--akin to Bing's customer support of the 2000s. Your rep team is ready to answer all the questions you have on capabilities, and if they don’t have a solution in place, they don’t ice you or stop responding. The come in to have a training lunch every month or so.
Marin Software's usability is bar none in the paid search world. All that said, I think Marin Software only appears superior because all the tools in the space provide extremely subpar support. Kenshoo is so complex that I don’t know think half the people that work there know how to use it.
Marin Software is pretty expensive but it has capabilities built in to manage most accounts. I would not look to Marin Software to manage offline sales or more intricate or complicated accounts. If you are on a budget, Google Automated Tools can assist with a ton of what Marin Software does
