Overall Satisfaction with Marketo

We use it for automatically sending emails to target the company and lead. We create a landing page with a form to track the end-user experience and determine how interested they are with our products. We also created a nuture campaign to share resources with the company and lead. We also create webinars with Marketo and On24.
  • I like the automatic email send-out function. And after the email is out, you can track which link people click on.
  • I like the form tracking feature too. It's really useful to have a hidden field on the form, so that we can use it to track different lead backgrounds.
  • I also like the report feature, it has a lot of different types of reports to show us which work and which do not.
  • For the subscription on the report, there is always errors in it. The people we put in for subscription always complain that they have not received any reports in their email. We have contacted the customer service to find out why. It is because the report is too big and the back end only has limited time to process the reports.

We are more using Marketo for nurturing customers by creating a webinar page, a resource page, and sending out a marketing email.
I don't have other products to compare
Marketo, in general, is really useful and easy to use when we are trying out different marketing ideas. Basically, if you can dream it, you can do it in the program.

Learnings & Advice

so far, I have it with A/B testing on two different versions of an email. We are aiming at the click rate on which email will get more click.
I use the mobile option on the landing page. Which there no easy way in Marketo landing page setting to have easy mobile version. So what I did is the same element, different sizes, one check the desktop box, and the other check the mobile box.
Make sure you have a good relationship with Marketo support. Once for a while thing will not work and they took a really long time to fix it.
They are really helpful. There a lot of time I am not sure am I setting up the smart list or the flow correctly to get the result I want. The community is always a good reference to look up and ask for a double check!
Always try! There always have a different way to make thing around to get the result you looking for. And always read the Marketo doc to understand the function better.
