Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Marketo Engage

We currently use Adobe Marketo Engage to create landing pages, form fills, send newsletters and product pushes. We house all of our lead and contact data in Adobe Marketo Engage and use it to sync with Salesforce and ZoomInfo to make it easy to create SFDC campaigns and trackability. We import lists of new leads.

Pros

  • Sync with SFDC
  • Easy templates for form fill and landing pages
  • Import lists of new leads
  • Reporting

Cons

  • Lots of steps to get things done
  • Cloning assets can sometimes be off
  • Filter Logic can sometimes be off
  • Product Launches
  • Cross-Sell
  • Customer Service
  • Lead Management
  • Prospecting / New Business
The ability to clone entire programs and campaigns should not be underestimated as a marketing manager. This is a stand-out feature that other automation tools can't do (yet) in my experience. Engagement Programs: let you quickly create basic email nurture tracks with ease. Currently, EPs can only send on a cadence of once per week, but future product release announcements suggest variable cadence will be possible soon. Simple to set up and report on. Adobe Marketo Engage doesn't work as well in B2C scenarios as it does in B2B. One of the main points of this is it's difficult to showcase a selection of product recommendations based on purchase behavior without a very time-consuming workaround. It's manageable if you're only selling a handful of products, but it's inefficient when dealing with a large catalog.
Adobe Marketo Engage integrates with other platforms much more efficiently. Being able to put contacts into a list and then have all the selected contacts go directly into a campaign in salesforce is a game-changer for me. We could never do that with Hubspot. Having Zoominfo synced with Adobe Marketo Engage is also a huge time saver. It is always accurate. The form fill and landing pages are much easier to set up than in Hubspot.

Did implementation of Adobe Marketo Engage go as expected?

Would you buy Adobe Marketo Engage again?

Yes

The marketing team mainly uses Adobe Marketo Engage as a tool to carry out email marketing campaigns and support the sales team with easily accessible content to present to prospects. The platform also helps us to maintain communication with potential customers -- allowing them to comfortably learn more about our products and services before discussing their interest in sales. Adobe Marketo Engage can sometimes take longer than Hubspot in that you have to have a lot of assets and moving pieces.
