Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Mattermost the most prolific and easy to use open source platform for secure collaboration and increasing our productivity by bringing my team communication together, tasks and project management and workflow orchestration into a unified platform for agile software development. Establishing a communication channel for different teams and diff projects has been so easy. Sharing of files and communication between my teams in different departments has been one of the best thing.

Pros and Cons

Markdown format for text messaging is great.
Easy to add status.
Kanban boards for my teams.
Online and Offline indicators.

The one dislike is how I miss my notifications at times on my mobile app and also desktop app.
Quick audio call feature I guess should be included in this project and tasks management tool to boost communication.

Return on Investment

Easy to create multiple channels for different teams and projects. Saves time and projects are completed on time.
Flexible server that we can run on various platforms as Linux, Docker, Kubernetes and many more.
As it's privately hosted all my organisation information stays in their server where is secure and easy to access.

Open Source Platform

Being a privately hosted tool all my organization information stays safe and doesn't leak outside the organisation.

Ease of Integration

This is because it integrates with tools that makes DevOps easier.

Mattermost offers secure collaboration for my team. I like how flexible the deployment is with either on-premises or secure cloud where our data and information is stored securely and for the control and visibility we need. Real-time and async messaging with integrated voice and video.
File,image and link sharing.

I like the custom emoji feature which allows me to reply to any comment in a very fun and engaging manner. I like how this tool synchronises our business messages from various contexts. Its easy to set up marketing programs and automate ads on any leading social media like Facebook and Twitter.
