Overall Satisfaction with Meta Business Manager

We use Meta Business Manager to manage our single Facebook page, ad account, Instagram account, and our tracking pixels. We were able to assign specific roles and permissions to our ad partners so they could handle the ad buys and pull analytics. This helped our small team save time. We use Sprout Social for most of our non-ad analytics, but use Meta Business Manager for our ad analytics.

Pros

  • Team - easy to assign roles and permissions to our team members and to other partners
  • Advertising campaign management - easy to generate and add pixels
  • Analytics - easy to pull data and insights with website tracking and ad click-throughs

Cons

  • Always changing interface - the navigation is not intuitive and can be confusing if you're not using it on a daily basis as the location of things seems to change quite frequently
  • Learning curve for new users and anyone that isn't tech-savvy
  • Support - can be hard to get in touch with support
  • Saves my small team time by allowing our partners to set up and manage ads
  • Streamlined workflow with both Facebook and Instagram saves time
  • Unfortunately it can take a lot of time to get acquainted with Meta Business Manager, so pulling our own analytics can eat up free time
It is not intuitive and the interface can be confusing and overwhelming. It's always changing and it's difficult to get in touch with support. The navigation is not clear so it feels like a new platform each time I log in. When new features are rolled out, the support docs aren't always updated in a timely fashion.

Meta Business Manager is well-suited when you need to have a varying level of permissions for users both inside and outside your organization. It's less appropriate for small business owners that don't have much experience with ad buys or analytics, as it's not as intuitive as the regular Facebook platform.
