Microsoft Office 365 (Cloud)

Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)

Our university implemented Microsoft 365 about 4 years ago. We use the suite of products for all business tasks within the organization, incl. the entire office suite, email, calendar, Teams, Planner, etc.
  • Interoperability with MS 365
  • Dark Mode
  • Online capabilities
  • unintuitive interfaces
  • awful user experience
  • online editing issues
  • Online capability
  • Team editing
  • Shared files
  • Some organization members keep using Google products because MS 365 is so bad
  • The learning curve is steep for someone who has not used the interfaces before
  • There are serious issues with findability in OneDrive
Microsoft has serious usability issues compared to Google products. Interfaces are cluttered, unintuitive and not easy to use. Compared to the offline version of the office products, 365 online truly disappoints.

No

No

Did implementation of Microsoft 365 go as expected?

Would you buy Microsoft 365 again?

No

The offline Office suite is still the same product is has always been, with complete functionality and known interface. As soon as you choose to edit online however, the ribbon changes, and editing is less intuitive than in the offline version. It is basically impossible to find any files in the OneDrive, and there are multiple steps where things can go wrong when editing. The review mode is horrid, the interface displays all changes at once without guides as in the offline version. Documents appear cluttered and are not easy to edit.
