Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Azure

Azure is being used in many aspects of our organization. It is being used across all departments of the organization. It helps address the seamless scale-out of our growing infrastructure needs.
  • Provides seamless scale-out of services.
  • The service model ensures that we only pay for what we use.
  • The available-anywhere nature of the cloud-based services makes it ideal for our increasingly mobile users.
  • The service is constantly updated, which is good except that because of these there can be situations where re-training and configuration changes become necessary year-round.
  • The service can become pricey if not closely managed and monitored.
  • Support quality can be hit-or-miss, seemingly at random based on the experience and ability of the technician that your tickets are assigned to.
  • It has had a positive impact as it has allowed us to very affordably replace legacy infrastructure.
  • It has had a positive impact as it has provided a much more robust infrastructure than we had in place before.
  • It has had a positive impact in that we now have the ability to rapidly scale to whatever demands we face without overly investing in fixed infrastructure.
Fairly easy to manage with a lot of small exceptions. Interface blades can seem to branch out many levels deep making changes and available settings difficult to find. There are seemingly endless and obscure gotchas and undocumented limitations and pitfalls that can only be realized after the fact.
While support is somewhat easily accessible, the quality and reliability of the support can very wildly based on the experience and ability level of the technician that your ticket is assigned to.
Azure provides an environment that while at time is more pricey, the tight integration with our existing Microsoft-based infrastructure makes it difficult to beat.
Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service), Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Microsoft 365 Business, Microsoft Office 365, Google Drive
Azure has come a long way and has a lot of best-in-class features and service offerings. It's hard to beat as a cloud service for those already fully entrenched in Microsoft environments.
