Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Dynamics NAV
Microsoft Dynmics NAV is being used as a multi-department, complete ERP system at our headquarters/manufacturing facility. It addresses integration and connectivity issues with other software and adaptive technologies: formulation and manufacturing batching software, scanners and bar codes, inventory, financials, emailing of invoices and statement, sales and purchasing... all from their user portal.
- Good integration with other software and technologies.
- Good viewing interface for both AP and AR.
- Ability to customize most reports.
- Some functions could be a bit more user friendly, intuitive.
- Better migration from previous ERP software (especially other Microsoft products). "Growing pains" associated with change?! Maybe.
- A few redundancies and procedural missteps on menus and tabs can make the portal a bit crowded.
- Better manufacturing overview
- Better inventory control
- Just about the same as GP in the other areas
Microsoft Dynamics GP feels a bit more user friendly and intuitive than NAV. However, NAV will definitely win the gold on the ability to integrate and connect with other software and technologies, especially as the company grows. We are having a tougher time training employees on NAV than we did with GP, but people seem to be finally getting used to the new processes.
