Microsoft Power BI is being used In my organization by the executive team to view Sales and Inventory KPI and make important financial decisions.
Power BI reports and charts makes it easy to visualize problem areas in production and distribution and where to make necessary improvements in the future. It is great for collaborating with coworkers with dashboards.

  • It is easy to learn and use
  • It is cheaper compared to other options
  • It can sometime take a long time to load the data
  • Not enough options to share dashboards externally
  • Custom visuals are not easy to configure and manage
  • DAX can be difficult to understand and write
  • Power BI makes it easier to visualize data and make financial decisions
  • It makes it easy to collaborate with users and help them make decisions
  • Power BI saves time in modifying data for visualization
Power BI integrates very easily with Microsoft based products like excel and sql server database and makes it easy to modify data. It also provides several different types of visualization and forecasting tools that are absent from other products. It is comparatively cheaper than other products out there.

Power BI is easy to learn and use but learning and using DAX might require some getting used to.
So far Micrsoft Power BI support team has been on time and solved any issues that we had.
Microsoft Power BI is great for SQL based data, which can be easily imported. It is great for visualizing and comparing data and create dashboards for every day use. Excel data can be easily imported and transformed for daily use.
