Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Project
Microsoft Project is widely used in the organization for managing and monitoring different projects. There are multiple departments who use this software, and as it is easy to use and understand for the general audience, its use has been growing. This is used for medium to long term planning of complex projects where more resource and cost allocation is required.
- Microsoft Project has an easy user interface and easy to edit documents.
- It provides good visuals to prepare Gantt charts and define critical paths.
- More complex assignments are not much flexible.
- It's not a very EPC friendly software.
- It is a perfect software on value for the cost, and provides an easy solution for corporate project planning.
Microsoft Project needs to do better job on the flexibility and user interface of the software. The colors used by monday.com and shortcuts they have provided are much smoother. However, Microsoft project is more compatible with other Microsoft products like excel which gives it an edge against monday.com.
We haven't had to use the support services for this software as much, as this is widely used in our industries. However, the help section is pretty useful, and the online steps listed along with the examples are very easy to follow. Anything you type on google, a related support document can easily be located with the solution.
