Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft SQL Server
We have a few [Microsoft SQL Server's] in our environment and they are used for SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, and many other database requirements that we have. Everyone indirectly uses it as it houses all our data which is accessed by some application frontends that our users work with. Being a Microsoft product it is very easy to manage and administer with in our Active Directory environment.

- Integration with Windows and other MS applications
- Reliable database solution
- It's price tag and server requirements do not make it cheap, but it is powerful
- Owning on-prem license allows for one time investment
Native to Windows and being required for other MS apps puts it above others in terms of usage. If we were not heavily dependent on Microsoft applications or OS, we might have considered other database solutions. It's an expensive solutions but it is a solid reliable solution. Ultimately having a SQL server is a must in any Windows based environment.
