Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

MS teams was recently rolled out across the organization. I'm not sure exactly what the use is for it now. It might replace Skype or SharePoint or maybe supplement those two things. The idea is for the entire organization to use it to enhance the way we talk and especially with offshore resources.
  • Easy to access using SSO with other MS products.
  • UI looks good and like a lot of there social platforms.
  • Easy adoption.
  • Not sure how this is any better than Yammer.
  • Notifications are odd.
  • Profile pics.
  • Too early to tell
Prefer JIRA Software, easy to document requirements, dev notes, QA notes and share this with anyone who cares about the work. You can also easily plug this into Confluence and create dashboards if you like. JIRA has a great UI and drag and drop functionality is easy for anyone to pick up.
Not sure if this is a real communication tool dev teams can use to talk about actual work or if this is more of a social thing for everyone in the office to share stories to make you 'feel good'. Not exactly sure how this adds value to a workplace right now.
