Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams allows for collaboration and integrates super nicely with other Microsoft products, especially Office. We use it for collaborating on documents especially, and especially when working on projects with smaller teams. Although Google Drive works well too and we've used it for years, Teams is ultimately better for Microsoft integration.
  • As with all Microsoft products of late, Teams integrates very nicely with other Microsoft products, namely Windows, Active Directory, OneDrive, and Office.
  • Since most of our productivity software is from Microsoft, everything pulls together super easily.
  • Teams also works well (better than Skype for Business in my opinion) for quick IMs to others in the organization.
  • Honestly, the biggest problem I have with Teams (and this isn't their fault), is that we're already invested in lots of other stuff that does all this.
  • It's nice that Teams brings this all together, AND that it's free, but it's a lot to switch over.
  • This is obviously futile, but I wish it had existed earlier, before we were invested in so many other platforms!
  • Now that Teams has appeared, as we've gotten people to use it, it makes collaboration, at least within our organization, much simpler.
  • We're still pretty new at using this software, but I foresee it being a very useful form of collaboration and I plan to implement it earlier in the future.
Nothing does all of this. This is very nice if you're already invested in lots of Microsoft stuff (as most big organizations are). I'm honestly a little confused what's going on with Skype for Business since Teams seems to accomplish relatively the same thing, but with MUCH more functionality. Zoom, as I mention in my review of the software, is by far the best videoconferencing software, but works best with a lot of participants, including those who are outside of the organization.
I haven't had much occasion to use Teams support, but their walkthrough is nice. It was a little strange that we discovered it when it just suddenly appeared on our machines, and there was very little explanation. However, the basic documentation for Teams is sufficient for getting set up and walking others through the process.

Do you think Microsoft Teams delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Teams's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Teams live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Microsoft Teams go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft Teams again?

Yes

Microsoft Teams is great for keeping videoconferencing, IMing, Office collaboration, etc. in one place, all using Microsoft accounts already set up by our organization. We had been using Google Drive\Docs for collaborative file work, Slack for chatting with channels, Zoom for video communication, Outlook for email, etc. Teams can handle almost all of this, and although it's a little tricky to switch over now, this would be super effective and simple long term.
