Overall Satisfaction with MindManager

Mostly for mind maps to capture business needs to create requirements. There are people who use it to track task activities related to these items.

  • Knowledge Management
  • Capture ideas as they are "discovered."
  • Relate items that may seem to be unrelated.
  • Go from the macro to the micro.
  • Most grief is the whole update process. Every year going through it makes me think there has to be a better product.

  • Puts data we have in or need to put into detail specifications into a one-page diagram with great details.
  • Shows how a small item relates to the bigger picture.
  • Identifies work and processes impacted by an idea.
It is a good way to bring a new leader on board. Our process can seem simple to an outsider and MindManager allows us to create a picture that shows all the touchpoints that make the process complex.
The main reason is it is on our corporate-approved list.

Great for getting all the details related to an outcome. Works from big to small. I don't think it would work well for small to big. I can have a concept and then go to what needs to be done, what features to include, who would we implement, etc.
