Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting

MIP is used by the Finance and HR departments. Microix timeclocks are integrated with this system and are used by the entire organization to clock in and out. It is also used to request and monitor PTO.
  • Payroll
  • HR staff management
  • AP and non-profit accounting
  • Technical support is horrible
  • Requires IT administrator privilege's in order to process W-2s
  • It's better than quickbooks.
  • However, if given the choice again, we would chose another product.

Would you buy MIP Fund Accounting again?

No

Too bad I had to give them a one. If there were less than one, I would have selected that. Support is horrible. Probably one of the worst things about this product is the support. Most of the time our staff knows more about the product than their support staff does.
It may not be as effective and bug/error-free, but it does get the job done.
Our finance department used Dynamics at another office and would choose that product over MIP if were given the opportunity to switch.
MIP performs well in the non-profit realms of accounting. MIP is glitchy and had a slew of problems/work arounds, tech support is horrible, but it does get the job done. It does it well enough that we aren't going to switch anytime soon.
