Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting

Currently, MIP Fund Accounting is being used by our Finance department, which is made up of general accounting, along with payment analysts as we provide funding to local residents in need. MIP Fund Accounting is used to keep all financial records for our organization, specifically how we are funded, how those funds are allocated across various programs and the associated employees, and how those funds are passed along to local residents in need.

We recently switched from the server version to the cloud version, and the first project manager did not answer any of my questions, and she was very unfriendly as well. I had a tremendous feeling of dread that we had made the wrong choice. A second project manager showed up, and she was exceptional! In fact we are still working with her and she's just amazing! PM #1 gets a 2, PM #2 gets a 10, so splitting the difference puts me at a 6.
MIP Fund Accounting is very straight-forward and simple. Literally, I needed no training to be able to figure out the features. I could see some thinking that it was too simple or might benefit from more complex reporting, etc., but for our purposes, it's wonderful! We also have an IT-remedial employee base, so complex software is not a good fit for our users.
I think that MIP Fund Accounting is best suited when funding needs to be tracked very specifically, such as in the case where funding comes from many sources, funding is governed by laws that require very specific tracking, and/or funding is being distributed and allocated across many areas. It might not be as well-suited for simplicity, such as a single or static linear flow of funding.
