Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting

We use MIP Fund Accounting for bookkeeping and financial reporting for grants. MIP Fund Accounting allows for the management of cross-fiscal year reporting. As a non-profit organization, we have multi-layered funding and MIP Fund Accounting's distribution codes allow for accurate and efficient allocation across the many funds we have. MIP Fund Accounting also offers very customizable financial reports.
  • cross-fiscal year reporting
  • distribution of expenses among many funding sources
  • custom financial reports
  • COPY and Paste functions while entering transactions
  • Ability to add lines between lines while entering transactions
  • More free trainings on specific topics
  • Difficulties with working with other software that is supposed to be compatible
Neither pleased nor satisfied.
I do not foresee our company making a huge change and choosing another accounting software.

Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
MIP Fund Accounting is well suited for a cross-fiscal year reporting and allocating among multiple funding sources. MIP Fund Accounting also offers customizable financial reports. I feel the opportunities with those customizable reports are vastly underutilized by our organization. Transaction entry is a bit more cumbersome in MIP Fund Accounting than what I have seen with other products. It is not always the most user-friendly and not easy for self-taught employees.
