Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting

We use MIP Fund Accounting for our HR and Accounting functions. We run a lot of reports using the MIP Fund Account. Sometimes the reports aren't completely accurate - some items are omitted.
  • I like that reports are fairly easy to create and run
  • I really like that payroll is such an easy process in MIP Fund Accounting.
  • If the reports were more accurate - especially when being converted to Excel
  • This is the only system I've worked with at this organization, so I'm not sure. I've used other software at previous employers, and I really like MIP for Government.
I think that creating reports is fairly simple using MIP Fund Accounting. I like that they are easy to modify, as well.
This is really a decision that is made by other users, specifically the Auditor, but I would support a decision to continue with MIP Fund Accounting.
I used Pentamation at a previous employer, as well as One Solution - I think those are both Sungard products. I liked both of them. I don't think creating reports was very easy with One Solution, but I used Cognos with the Pentamation and it was fairly easy.

Would you buy MIP Fund Accounting again?

Yes

Again, I think payroll is a very simple process. I also like that end-of-year tax forms (W2, 1095-C) are fairly easy to navigate through for processing.
