Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I am teaching an engineering course to 100 students and using Miro as a whiteboard to solve engineering problems. It is convenient to solve problems on iPad, have Miro open in the browser (with "follow option"), and record the content via OBS Studio. I also do some solutions in person or synchronously (also on iPad) and share the Miro browser window via MS Teams. I like Miro because I can have frames with problems solution and additional content outside of frames to refer to during recordings/live presentations. Then it is easy to save pdfs for students to refer to. I am the only one using Miro among my colleagues.
  • I like frames.
  • I enjoy the "bring everyone to me" option but it does not work sometimes.
  • Tools for writing.
  • The "Bring everyone to me" option needs to be more reliable.
  • The quality of exported pdf is not always the best e.g. I paste pdf document or jpeg and quality of the saved files are lacking compared to what I see on the board.
  • Too many items on the board - Miro slows down.
  • Sometimes I get a "syncing window" even with reliable internet.
  • Improved quality of educational content.
  • Tool to do remote teaching.
I tried to integrate Miro into the course and let students use it but they were not interested.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

It works well for educational purposes but I wish it would have more education-specific tools (rather than business/management). Maybe you need several versions of Miro.
