Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We utilise Miro to primarily run workshops and share knowledge within the team. Additionally, Miro is used to document the user research from participant testing of prototypes. Our team works within a very complex domain that has to consider the needs of our users, their businesses, and compliance. Miro is our preferred tool to 'brain dump' information from each member of the team in their area of expertise. Miro is primarily used across our Experience Design team, however, since running workshops with other departments and stakeholders the licensing has scaled to other departments who wish to use Miro as part of their product management endeavors.
  • Remote Workshops (Design Sprints).
  • Project Kick-offs.
  • Offloading complex information to the team in a visual manner.
  • Zoom features should utilise similar patterns found in Adobe CC and Figma.
  • Often the canvas zooms out selecting the entire file instead of the selected area.
  • Sharing settings could be made clearer.
  • Improved team alignment.
  • A source of truth for product managers.
  • Week-long design sprints speed up product realisation.
I would like to see more intuitive ways to onboard new team members when invited to workshops in order to quickly familiarise themselves with the key tools without the need for a facilitator to introduce them to the tool during a session.
Sometimes sharing settings are confusing for new members. Additionally, some options are available in one file and not in others. However, this may be down to our own implementation of the software.
We use Miro on a daily basis to unite our teams from the UK, Spain, Canada, South Africa, and many more in conjunction with Microsoft Teams.
