Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro every week in our company across all departments. Miro helps us to draw up new ideas quickly. Giving input and rearranging it to form clusters is as easy as it gets. We use it for our retros with our software developers, brainstorming sessions with our content team, etc. Where Miro shines the most is with our customers. It's very easy to create engaging workshops, remote or in person. Miro helped us a lot with communicating with our customers. It's easy to use and looks stunning. Miro's templates are also real-time-savers.

  • Miro is very versatile. There are many different scenarios where we use Miro. The opportunities are as endless as our use cases. Be it a quick workshop or the next business plan.
  • The design is very pleasing while being practical at the same time. We even use Miro in some of our pitch meetings.
  • Mind mapping sometimes is a bit frustrating. When creating very big clusters, the re-arranging can be a bit tricky.
  • CSV export could be improved.
  • When working with frames together with other people, they often lock in whole areas. This was sometimes frustrating for our users.
  • Miro reduced my prep time for retro-meetings with our developer team from 30 minutes to 5 minutes.
  • With Miro, the time I need for de-briefing workshops is reduced by 50%.
  • When doing workshops with Miro, I get up to 30% more input from participants in comparison to analog workshops.
I think Miro does its job very well. Things like reactions are a great addition. Drawing connecting lines is sometimes a bit clunky. One thing I would love is a better way for participating in Miro workshops on mobile devices. Many participants in my workshops did not like the mobile experience of Miro.
I can only answer this with how easy it is to create teams and board members. I did not use a lot of Marketplace yet, because I don't see a need to. The Miro App itself gives me all the notifications I need. The Zoom integrations work very nice. Maybe we will use the Trello-Power Up in the future.
We had a big whiteboard hanging in our office which we really loved using. Especially when brainstorming new ideas with a lot of team members. After 2020 this was not possible for us anymore. With Miro, we got this feeling of standing in our office with the big whiteboard back. And the best thing: we don't even have to take pictures of the whiteboard anymore - with Miro it's all right there. Since we are now working remotely 80% of the time, we even got some new colleges who can collaborate with us from different time zones. That is really great.

Miro is very great for small to mid-sized workshops. Especially remotely, it creates a great feeling of being in the same room and working on something together. All ideas and forms of input can be heard. I use the sticky notes in combination with the timer to create great results for all participants. Running retros with our developers is also super easy as well as analyzing business opportunities. I would not use Miro in Workshops with over 100 participants. The software does support these amounts of users, but things get too messy because I can't keep enough control as a moderator.
