Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is used by many teams that did not have the possibility to interact face-to-face because of Covid. It really boosted our cooperation and collaboration. It was extremely helpful to facilitate online brainstorming or creative sessions as part of workshops. Unfortunately, there is no entity-wide implementation - teams only use it individually.
  • Mindmapping.
  • Online collaboration.
  • Visualization.
  • Intuitive.
  • Every user needs to create an account to collaborate - no guest functionality.
  • Exporting functionality could include a « text » style or a table style as mindmaps are often too large to be displayed in PowerPoint or Word when exported with the existing functions.
  • Improved productivity.
  • Improved performance and motivation in online meetings.
As I personally did not implement, I cannot answer here.
Integrating Miro into meetings works quite well - including it in document management systems is a little challenging as mindmaps tend to take up a lot of space and are therefore often unusable outside of the brainstorming context. Integration in the team was flawless - no extra training was required due to great usability.
Collaboration is great even for newly forged teams. We often included periods in which we did not talk at all and simply collaborated anonymously using Miro. Afterward, we analyzed, grouped, and structured the results in the whole group. This broke down barriers that some people might have because of being a little shy, for example.

I can really recommend Miro for mind mapping with colleagues or even in a private session - as long as people need to collaborate remotely. The visualization is extremely well done, and everything works seamlessly. I would still prefer to conduct the workshops in person, though - still, Miro is a great alternative.
