Overall Satisfaction with Miro

My experience with Miro was one introduced by Scrum Masters who were already using it for remote working and collaboration pre-C19. However, its application grew to one of general use for everything from shaping departments and organizations to having fun with ice breakers and team building.
  • The templates provided get you started quickly.
  • The community-provided templates mean there is more than likely a good starting point for whatever you want to achieve.
  • It's a low barrier to entry means you can give some basic tuition to most people and have them productively using Miro in no time.
  • Some people struggle when they initially used Miro in that they have problems selecting the select tool. They end up doing funky things.
  • Positive - brought people together.
  • Negative - made a lot of tech adverse people take it up and use it regularly.
  • Positive - Supported workshops aimed at innovating on shared problems.
Not really. It was there and ready to use.
I wasn't involved in its integration.
Not only has it brought people together from diverse backgrounds to innovate on ideas and problems but it's also sparked projects through its use.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Visio would still be my go-to for technical drawings (architecture, sequence diagrams) but I can see Miro filling that void someday. The same can be said of draw.io. Miro beats them hands down or collaboration and ease of use.
Scrum ceremonies of various sorts are great in Miro. General brainstorming and the development of ideas are really good as you can progress a story on one board. I wanted to do a board around organizational structure and struggled with that as there were no suitable templates. That's easily solvable though.
