Overall Satisfaction with Miro

With the introduction of WFH, Miro has become one of the core collaboration tools for our global teams. It is used frequently and for different purposes... from small team meetings to capture and organize thoughts, take notes and share with others up to running multiple day events with large teams from different locations and across multiple time zones. It is used across all of the business tools in our corporate toolbox, from ideation to creation, troubleshooting, business improvement, and many other tasks.
  • Serve as billboard-sized whiteboard which fits on your tablet or laptop screen.
  • Simple and intuitive interfaces require little to no training for teams to collaborate.
  • It works great on multiple platforms, in apps and in browsers.
  • Navigation through the screens is sometimes erratic.
  • On large boards the topics sometimes get lost in the rest of the content.
  • Sometimes large boards with poor connections are a nightmare to work with.
  • Significant reduction of travel cost, conference room cost...
  • Scalability of the solution.
  • Significant time saving.
I was introduced to Miro shortly after introduction to our company and although Miro was new for all of us we managed to start using it instantly from the first meeting onward.
Can't really comment the integration part, as it was done by the IT team. I always use Miro as a stand-alone tool.
We are using Miro throughout all geographies and several time zones and for many aspects of work - from strategic planning, product/service ideation, problem-solving, analysis... It's one of the best collaboration tools we have in our IT portfolio.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

PowerPoint is limited due to the slide size, whereas Miro feels like starting off in the middle of a billboard-sized whiteboard. Excel is used mainly in ideation processes where a lot of calculations or data are involved. Creativity within Excel is very limited and not really intuitive.
It's a great place where a lot of information, thoughts, and ideas can be
captured, organized, and structured. Many people can work on the same
board at the same time, contributors can be easily traced when required.
You never run out of office supplies and there is no trash at the end
of the session. Sometimes smaller tasks in small teams are easier to be managed on a simple spreadsheet.

Using Miro

  • Brainstorming.
  • Kaizen events.
  • Capturing input for pre-set events.
  • Structuring the work process with custom templates.
  • Reducing travel cost.
  • Adding content, forms, etc to the boards before the meetings for easier guidance through the process.
  • Flexible collaboration - adding input at your own time.
  • Close to zero training required.
  • Collaboration with external partners.
  • Voice of customer.
I love the tool, and so do most of my colleagues. It'd be hard to go back to using the old tools, which were not meant for this job.
