Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We used Miro to conduct remote student interviews for a Russell group university. Miro leveled the playing field for our candidates and greatly simplified the process by providing a comfortable user experience. Most students were able to easily use Miro within a minute or so, despite not having previous experience with it.
  • Easy to use to write and draw.
  • Excellent for scheduling access.
  • The use of frames keeps things organized.
  • Left- and right-clicking outcomes are a bit different from comparable tools, which takes getting used to.
  • In terms of typical uses (sketching, writing), the outcomes are not that different from what can be accomplished using the whiteboard from Microsoft Teams.
  • It helped us manage pandemic-related restrictions on meetings.
The fact that it was easy to become familiar with was very useful. We used it to interview student candidates for a university program, and none of them struggled to get used to it despite being reasonably stressed.
We had no issues integrating this into our interview process.
We only used it for the specific use case of online interviews. It otherwise isn't part of our normal work routine.

Miro is easier to use than the whiteboard in Microsoft Teams and allows for more control over access to the board.
Miro was particularly well suited for inviting multiple people to share and use an online whiteboard. It was also easy to schedule access to the whiteboard so that it could only be used by specific people at certain times. This was very useful for conducting remote interviews; we could invite the candidates to Miro in advance, but only allow access on the day of the interview.
