Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro as a presentation avenue in my design studio teaching architectural design to college-level students. It allows students to present their designs to the whole class and allows viewers to leave feedback about the designs. It is actually better than printing off the work and manually presenting it in person.
  • Allows leaving comments in a multitude of different ways.
  • Allows multiple scaled visual documents.
  • Allows locking of images and information.
  • It allows a multitude a venue for multiple work efforts at one time.
  • Locking images and text can be difficult at times when there is a lot of items in a small location.
  • It would be nice for embedding of other programs to link with specific images.
  • Sometimes the number of people viewed can be overwhelming. It would be nice to exclude specific people.
  • It makes pivoting an academic course from in-person to online easy and attainable.
  • It allows the use of smaller physical spaces for teaching courses.
  • It allows students to visualize and share ideas in a seamless environment.
It is very intuitive if you have used any visualization software. Having it online allows multiple sources of complexity to have it run. The implementation takes a small amount of time to get everyone on board, but it saves time in the end and is as comfortable as putting on gloves.
The framework is graphically aesthetical to much other software that implements multiple platforms of communication. Having laptop functionality as well as phone access provides the user with layers of opportunity to commutate in both the visual and acoustical realms. My students have not had any problems working in Miro and apps.
It has made it possible to pivot the in-person classroom to a virtual classroom within a few hours. They made it possible for our students to continue their education without extending their time at the university. This kept them from having to extend the time and cost of their education.
