Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Planning and project management: it gives visibility to other teams on the capacity and it is easier to quick information that can be processed at a glance. Documentation: High-level documentation such as Design Ops, org charts, and Design Culture is being documented on Miro because it is easier to communicate to designers, and it keeps the vibe of a live document. Workshops and design activities: This is how we use it the most. We use it for design sessions of understanding and ideas, as well as for feedback (Design Critiques). The flexibility of the tool is great to adapt it to any design activity or create our own. We have created templates as well.
- Easy to use and understand for any role (including business and dev), not just for designers.
- Sharing for edition (collab).
- Other tools for better session management (like presentation mode, following a person´s cursor, timer, etc).
- Visibility on updated boards.
- Templates (easy to create and to use).
- Roles and permissions: it is confusing who has access to what and we might be spilling information unwillingly.
- There´s little flexibility on the information architecture of the boards: We can save them in projects, but there are some boards that fall into deeper levels (folders).
- The Teams part is confusing.
- You can´t share or link to specific parts of a board.
- Asynchronous work to get things done faster (positive).
- Spark conversations and find a common ground on the go (positive).
- Better design processes and culture (positive).
Miro is definitely a game-changer for remote collaboration. Currently, we can hire people from other parts of the country and we feel confident that we are building a design culture that persists.
