Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We needed a mind mapping tool and we were recommended to use Miro to solve this business need. It was helpful to map out in a visual manner what we were trying to accomplish for a client workshop but also needed collaboration capabilities.

Pros

  • Connection building

Cons

  • Overall UI is a bit clunky
  • The visual style of the system can become more simple/Apple like
  • Increased client engagement compared to powerpoint
  • Ease of mapping out thoughts is key
Not privy to the actual implementation of Miro, just that we had an enterprise license so I decided to use it
I was not privy to the actual implementation of Miro in the organization but I appreciate how easy it was to sign up with my work email
Being able to collaborate with the client team is much easier in a very visual way which I appreciate a lot compared to PowerPoint and Zoom annotate tools which are quite clunky

We needed client input and lead a workshop with our client. It's hard to get engagement in the room, particularly over Zoom. But the visual and collaborative nature of Miro made it super helpful to get everyone to open up and engage.
