Overall Satisfaction with Miro

In my team, we use Miro on a daily basis. I love the option to work with Agile meeting formats. We go there for our kanban, we do Stand-ups, syncs, and retrospectives there. We use dedicated space to put new ideas we come up with to discuss during our Think New meetings. There is also a space where our goals and strategy are placed so everyone can always take a look. It is a great tool to collaborate if your teammates are spread across the region. It is of great help during any pieces of training or meetings where you need people to do some pre-work and prep. When the meeting starts you just fire it up and see all the inputs in one place - that really saves up time (it's also fun to sometimes log in 10 minutes before the meeting and see all the cursors from other people flying around in a desperate attempt to fill it and not leave a blank space, try it!) I enjoy the multitude of formats and templates to choose from - whatever your needs might be, there is a template for that, that makes things a lot easier!

Pros

  • Great place for Agile meeting formats
  • collaboration in an instant
  • works for teams spread across locations
  • easy, intuitive interface
  • never lose a post-it again!

Cons

  • work on data privacy standards so it can be approved by more companies
  • have an easier way to import/export PDFs
  • have video tutorials for kanban that are good to distribute along the company
  • It made Agile meeting formats super easy
  • it made brainstorms quick and effective
  • it frees time for pre-work, everyone does it at their best time
  • you never lose an idea again - open up a miro and place it there to wait for the opportunity
We have difficulties using it across the full organization due to miro being an external provider. Maybe there is some sort of data privacy certificate miro could earn that would help in convincing businesses the data put it is secure (talking about companies using Microsoft or Google suites) Maybe have different setups for teams like 'Agile for beginners to make starting with kanban easy.
Data privacy issues - my company is not keen on implementing it fully.
It's another tool you have to convince people to use.
It allowed the team spread across locations to collaborate just as if we were in one room. It made the idea generation so easy and no one has to rewrite the post it's again! No idea gets lost in the process! It provides a clear structure for meetings and processes. The option to use the list to navigate is easy and intuitive.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

  • for me the interface is clearer and easier to navigate
  • it's more popular
  • the free plan was ok
Use it for everything Agile! start with a kanban board to put all your projects there move to stand-up daily formats to prioritize use it for decision making with a priority matrix use it to generate and store ideas use the power of remote collaboration: ask people to fill in dedicated areas use the ease of navigating by areas with a list - people just click on a topic and are moved there - a lot easier during meetings! Otherwise, you had to jump to a slide, now every detail is just one click away!
