Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I used Miro as a student at the University of Toronto. It was a great program for a series of interactive lectures over Zoom. The instructor divided the class into groups and Miro allowed us to all work independently on the same assignment, then share our work with one another. It was an aesthetically pleasing program.

Pros

  • E-Learning
  • Group work
  • Interactive Presentation

Cons

  • Glitching in complex pages
  • Email lists
  • Sign-in requirements for participants
  • More effective delivery of materials
  • Improved learning outcomes
  • Increased engagement in class
It was easy to integrate into a Zoom meeting, and suited the classroom setting well.
When the students were in isolation due to the pandemic lockdowns, we were able to collaborate and work together on projects.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro was very well suited to delivering an online lecture to a small class (20 students). I would think it would be less well suited to larger groups of participants, given that the screen can become too busy with all the cursors moving around. It would be tricky to allow larger groups to all participate on a single page since there is a limited amount of space which people can reasonably be expected to pay attention to.
