Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro every day for our daily meetings and for all our brainstorming. We are constantly in a creative context, so we have a lot of things to work on and even more in research and development. So for us, Miro works like a library of ideas where each topic has its own dedicated board. As we have hundreds of topics, this requires organization, and again we use Miro to make an archive. All the links from the boards belonging to a macro topic will be linked to a single board as an index. Obviously, the strength of Miro is in the simultaneous collaborative work, but it should also be stressed that this tool is a nugget for onboarding. A few authorizations, a few links, and we have the entire project library available for consultation.

Pros

  • It allows several people to work simultaneously
  • It can be used as an index/archives
  • It facilitates onboardings
  • The different scales are useful to treat from macro to micro

Cons

  • It slows down as soon as a certain number of objects are created.
  • It doesn't allow the creation of a structure. Impossible to create Subject/Sub-subject/Sub-Sub-Subject in the "Boards" menu.
  • It doesn't allow to scale a board automatically.
  • Reduces project completion time
  • Improve productivity
  • Quicker meetings
  • Overview of each step to make sure everyone has something to do
Divide as much as possible from macro to micro.
Systematically share all links and accesses when onboarding.
Avoid noise on the boards (humor, memes, etc.) because you lose the efficiency of the software.
Have people specialized in Miro training and others in maintenance/archiving in order to quickly solve problems encountered by collaborators and optimize the tool (indexing, archiving, scaling, etc.)
Easy to handle.
Easy to share.
Readable in titles and organization.
No higher rating due to problems with the arrangement of boards in the home menu.
Miro allows us to work with our collaborators abroad. It allows us to share our ideas with all the people involved who are not on-site or on the same team. It is also very useful for presentations to candidates for certain positions or for presenting our progress to major managers.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

No

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro has made a name for itself and has been democratized in many places other than those of work (school, personal use, etc.), it has this strength of having been taken in hand before its competitors, and therefore there is the factor "habit of use" that comes into play for the choice.
Appropriate for brainstormings around several features at the same time.
Appropriate for daily meetings and follow-up of the collaborators' work.
Appropriate for displaying ideas and pushing decisions.
Appropriate for hundreds of boards if you take the time to do an indexation into one board.

Less appropriate for sharing artistic content because of the different scales.
Less appropriate for big meetings, because you can't see who wants to speak.
Less appropriate for projects which have thousands of boards, you will lose your mind by searching for a good topic.
