Cross Continent Collaboration Tool
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
It's basically a digital whiteboard and a much better one that is than a physical one! Everyone can collaborate on a group call, and it's great for brainstorming and requirements gathering. I also use it for retrospectives and have used it for a presentation as well (instead of PowerPoint).
Pros
- Great for collaboration!
- There are a wide variety of templates as a starting point, enabling better preparation for sessions.
- It's actually better than Visio for diagrams - and that's saying something when diagrams are only a small part of Miro and the main thing for Visio.
- There is great flexibility in how Miro boards can be used - so many use cases!
Cons
- To me, it was counterintuitive to drag and move around on the board with the right mouse click, as with google maps and other apps, it's the left that does that. However, I quite quickly got used to it.
- It would be great if it was possible to "reset" a board - i.e., undo all changes since the group started working on the board. In this way, the starting template could be re-used, and any changes could be "wiped out."
- Probably improved productivity
Great tool for cross-country and cross-continent collaboration!
