Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is great for bringing everyone together in one space and collaborating freeform. The ability to add photos, markup documents, draw, and wireframe ideas allows flexibility if you are just starting to brainstorm on a project or you are collecting all our user insights and data for a central, visual virtual space.

Pros

  • Multiplayer
  • Collaboration
  • Brainstorming

Cons

  • Speed improvements.
  • Bring everyone together virtually.
  • Rapid ideation.
  • Repository of various artifacts.
The only integration I’ve tried to utilize was with Figma. This integration in Miro wasn’t dependable or useful enough for me to continue using. On a positive note, I do like being able to bring in information from a spreadsheet like excel and paste it as post it in Miro.
Huge. Although it’s been better, we often begin ideation on a project in Miro. We ran multiple workshops utilizing Miro and typically have little trouble onboarding those that haven’t used the tool before. This is key to quickly bringing stakeholders into a collaborative space and focusing on the activities rather than how to use the tool.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is still slightly more full-featured when compared to FigJam, but doesn’t hold up when compared to creating high-fidelity UI designs and prototypes in Figma. While similar in feature set - meaning infinite canvas, multimedia handling, document, and image markup - Miro is noticeably slower when compared to Figma and FigJam.
Wireframing is really pretty good for rapid ideation. I just wish Miro was more responsive. Specifically, when a lot of screenshots or images are placed on a Miro board, the application stalls when moving around the canvas. Although the canvas is infinite, it feels like there’s a limit to how much you can through into Miro, and it remains responsive.
